Projects, Events, & Activities

The work was conducted in an efficient and timely manner, and the project was completed on schedule and within budget.  This project was very successful due to the open communication and team approach by all parties involved.  It was also completed in a sensitive manner, minimizing interruptions to the daily operations of the staff.

DESIGN BUILD

Progressive Venture Construction is building to suite. Breaking ground for the new location of EB Horsman on the corner of Keith Avenue and Molitor Street, Terrace BC.

We are excited to share, that we are supporting the Haisla Nation in developing a new component of their Haisla Driving School to offer Class 1 Driver training.

We are providing a tractor from our fleet of trucks, for their use of training new drivers entering the industry.

Currently, Kailee Gardner, the Program Manager, and Antonio Tavares, Instructor, have two students working their way to a Class 1 drivers license.

Students, William Renwick (driver seat) and  Lavina Grant (standing center with Kailee and Antonio), have been participating in a 2-month program that started in late June.

Once the students have completed their Class 1 license, they will embark on a 3-month ride along experience within company. They will be job shadowing our staff members  or ‘seasoned drivers’, accumulating ‘driving seat time’ and gaining insight into the industry and onsite protocol.

We are happy to share that PVCON participated in Coast Mountain School District’s Try-A-Trade day for Grade 5 students.

On June 25, Justin Cullinan, as a professional carpenter, shared his knowledge and experience with grade 5 students by guiding a construction activity in building stairs.

Thanks, Justin, for your willingness to take on this task and help promote interest in the Carpentry Trade!

“What really made this amazing was the kids. As I was showing and explaining techniques, I would look up and all eyes were on me and focused. The kids were intensely watching and learning, picking up everything I was sharing. It was just amazing!” – Justin Cullinan

Thank you to Mr. Brewer from Coast Mountain School District 82, for inviting us to participate in supporting our future Trades generation of the Northwest.

We participated in the River Boat Days Legion Parade! Celebrating our Community Spirit and Veterans!

The parade began at 11 a.m. Saturday August 3, at City Hall on Eby Street and turned down to Lakelse Ave to entertain and wow the crowds.

In the Commercial category, Progressive Ventures was awarded second place, along side Thompson Community and 7 Eleven.

The team had a blast and the kids really enjoyed wearing the hard hats and reflective vests!

Progressive Ventures goal was to ignite the construction spark into the crowd and future generations! And is already excited for next year.

Big shout out to our social committee, they did an amazing job!
